How DataCharted collects, uses, stores and protects data when you use DataCharted Sync.

Last updated: 7 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how DataCharted ("DataCharted", "we", "us") handles information in connection with DataCharted Sync and the DataCharted platform (the "Service"). It applies to our customers and to the data processed through the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address and authentication details needed to operate your account.

Connection credentials

To provide the Service, we securely store authorization tokens and credentials for the accounts you connect (GoHighLevel and Google BigQuery). These are encrypted at rest and used solely to run your syncs.

CRM data you sync

When a sync runs, we process data from your GoHighLevel account — such as contacts, conversations, opportunities, calendars, forms and surveys — for the sole purpose of loading it into the BigQuery destination you control.

Usage information

We collect operational logs such as run times, row counts, error records and basic diagnostics to run, secure and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and operate the Service, including running syncs on your instructions.
  • To authenticate you and secure your account.
  • To send transactional and notification emails (for example, sync failure alerts).
  • To provide support and respond to your requests.
  • To monitor, troubleshoot and improve the reliability and security of the Service.

4. Our role in processing data

For your account information, DataCharted acts as a data controller. For the CRM data synced from GoHighLevel to your BigQuery destination, DataCharted acts as a data processor that processes such data only on your documented instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that data.

5. Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

DataCharted's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only request the minimum Google/BigQuery scopes needed to write data to the destination you connect.
  • We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the sync functionality you request.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with appropriate protections.
  • Humans do not read your Google user data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

6. GoHighLevel data

Access to GoHighLevel is read-only and used exclusively to copy the data you select into your own destination. We do not modify your GoHighLevel data and do not use it for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.

7. Service providers and subprocessors

We use a limited set of trusted providers to run the Service, including:

  • Google Cloud / BigQuery — the destination you connect for your synced data.
  • Hosting infrastructure — cloud servers that run the platform.
  • Email delivery — a transactional email provider used to send account and notification emails.

These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

8. Data storage and security

Credentials and secrets are encrypted at rest, and access to production systems is restricted. We use industry-standard measures to protect information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data retention

We retain account information and connection credentials for as long as your account is active. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. When you close your account or disconnect an integration, we delete or de-identify the associated credentials. Data already written to your BigQuery destination remains under your control.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@datacharted.com.

11. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the dashboard securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

12. International transfers

We may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
